The Dismantling the Canon reading group, initiated by the Graduate Students of Art History during the summer of 2020 amidst the Black Lives Matter protests, aims to foster an inclusive, critical, and expansive approach to research, writing, teaching, and active involvement in our field. This year this GRC hosts a talk by Dr. Akshaya Tankha, “I am a Naga and an Artist”: The Art of Indigenous Presence in Postcolonial South Asia” on December 2.
