Abby Dean is the Administrative Assistant for the Simpson Center. She supports the operational integrity of the organization by working closely with all members of staff and leadership. Abby plays a major role in the administration of the Simpson Center’s semiannual funding rounds; supports the generation, compilation, and editing of reports and institutional records; and assists in event management of the Simpson Center’s various programs and events.

She holds a B.A. in Sociology from James Madison University. Previous to joining the Simpson Center, Abby worked in the Dean’s Office of the College of Health and Behavioral Studies at JMU. Abby enjoys hoarding houseplants and hopes to turn her apartment into a jungle.
