Race, Privacy, and Sociotechnical Infrastructures

The Race, Privacy, and Sociotechnical Infrastructures research cluster brings together scholars from law, computing, the built environment, and critical design to understand the racialized distribution of privacy across digital, physical, and temporal space. Through collective reading, talks, and writing; the cluster aims for three primary goals. First, to build intellectual partnership and solidarity among scholars thinking about race, privacy, and technology. Second, to develop a shared analytical framework for understanding privacy's racialized distribution. And third, to explore how this framework can expand the disciplinary bounds of our respective fields.
