More-than-Human Worlds

The second iteration of the More-than-Human Worlds Graduate Research Cluster seeks to bring together graduate students from different departments whose work turns its attention to a range of more-than-human actors, including but not limited to: animals, plants, bacteria, viruses, technology, geological formations, and supernatural entities. The research cluster will 1) create space for graduate students to workshop their in-progress chapters and articles, 2) organize events which bring junior and senior scholars into conversation with UW graduate students, and 3) foster learning and community building through activities such as film screenings and site visits. These activities respond to our graduate students’ desires to network with other like-minded students and to have candid, critical conversations about multispecies research methods and ethics with one another and other scholars in the field.
