Curating in Conversation
Year of Funding:
2020/2021
The Burke Museum's Bill Holm Center will present a series of lectures and programs organized to mark the first-year anniversary of the inaugural exhibition of the Northwest Native Art gallery at the Burke Museum. The primary objective is to increase public understanding around the complexities and ethics involved in the promotion and exhibition of both contemporary and historic Native art and for the six co-curators of the Burke’s gallery space to share their unique perspectives, interpretations, and approaches to their work as both curators and contributing artists.
