Nikki Yeboah (Ph.D. Northwestern) is an assistant professor of playwriting at the University of Washington. As a documentary playwright, she adapts everyday life for the stage, reflecting communities to themselves. Her most recent documentary plays include: 11th & Pine, Akosua Goes Home, and The (M)others. When she's not writing creatively, Nikki is an award-winning researcher published in; Theatre Journal, Text and Performance Quarterly, Frontiers: A Journal of Women Studies, and the Western Journal of Communication. Beyond academia, she is Head of Learning and Curriculum Development at the National Public Housing Museum, and she is also on the board of Storycenter, a digital storytelling non-profit dedicated to social change.
