Kaelie Giffel was a 2019 Mellon Collaborative Fellow for Reaching New Publics with Caitlin Postal. 

She earned a doctorate from the Department of English in 2022. Her research focused on the relationships among gender, modernism, postcolonial studies, and Marxist theory. She is particularly interested in the way literary form engages political thinking and how this engagement can enable new spaces for stories that have been previously silenced or erased.
