Ariana Ochoa Camacho is a 2022-2023 Society of Scholars Fellow.

She is an assistant professor in Ethnic, Gender and Labor Studies whose research specializes on the intersections of gender, race, migration, and nationalism in the US. She specializes in Latinx and Gendered Experiences of Immigration, Citizenship and Belonging, Environmental Justice and Health Disparities in Latinx Communities; and Gender, Race and Nationalism in Representation and Resistance within US, Latinx, and Latin American Popular Cultures.

Her current ethnographic book project, Sensuous Colombianidades: Racial Performance and Transnationalism in New York, focuses on citizenship, belonging, race, and performativity among Colombianx migrants in New York.
