Teaching with Technology

Year of Funding:
2014/2015

Teaching with Technology aims to bring together graduate teaching assistants from various departments to discuss and develop technology-based teaching tools and lessons. This group provides a platform for instructors with varying experience levels to collaborate on and workshop a pedagogical toolkit that brings technology such as mobile devices, screen-capture software, social media, and blogging into a variety of classroom settings.

Teaching with Technology also seeks to engage with current conversations regarding the nature of effective pedagogy. Technology can provide a number of opportunities for developing more active learning, student engagement, and transfer opportunities in classrooms, opportunities that can productively contribute to overall learning goals across disciplines. With such goals in mind, participants also have opportunities to collaborate on pilot projects and showcase their ongoing pedagogical work to the larger teaching community.
