Asian Diasporas: Experiences, Histories and Memories is a year-long project of the Asian American Studies Research Collective (AASRC).

This year, AASRC will seek to expand on transnational perspectives in Asian American Studies by discussing the histories, memories and experiences among Asian Diasporas, and grounding our investigation in the theoretical and methodological work of community-academic collaborations.

Our events for the 2011-12 year are reading groups and microseminars with UW faculty, and a one-day spring symposium for students, community members and faculty.

Organized by ManChui Leung (Graduate Student, Sociology), Christopher Patterson, (Graduate Student, English), Chong Eun Ahn (Graduate Student, History), Nobuko Yamasaki (Graduate Student, Comparative Literature)
