Check Out Our New Video Series: Keywords

We're excited to announce the launch of our new video series, Keywords, in which Simpson Center-affiliated scholars introduce ideas central to their work by talking about keywords that are specialized, complicated, contentious, or ambiguous.

In our first episode, Katz Distinguished Lecturer and UW Professor of English Chadwick Allen discusses the term "Indigeneity," Indigenous Studies, and his own research. Allen will deliver his Katz Lecture, " Earthworks Rising: Mound Building in Native Art and Literature," on December 3. You can also watch the trailer for his forthcoming book—and the subject of his Katz Lecture—here

And be sure to stay tuned for our next episode, in which Professors of English Eva Cherniavsky (UW) and Lee Medovoi (University of Arizona) discuss "Neoliberalism." Coming soon!
