The Future of Scholarly Publishing: Manifold Information Sessions

On Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19, UW Libraries will be holding general information sessions on Manifold, an open-access, digital book publishing platform created by the University of Minnesota Press. Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Manifold is a platform for publishing networked, iterative, media-rich, and interactive monographs on the web. Not only does the platform incorporate a variety of media, visualizations, digital maps, and more into a digital text, but it also incorporates readers’ annotations and commentary to facilitate discussions around the text.

Thanks to a grant from Manifold and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the UW Press and UW Libraries have an opportunity to test out Manifold and are inviting participants to be part of their pilot program. You can learn more about the training sessions here.
