Rachel Schlotfeldt

Rachel ShlotfeldtRachel Schlotfeldt is the Digital Humanities Program Coordinator for the Simpson Center. She is a current PhD Candidate in the Department of English at the University of Washington and a teaching assistant in English and American Ethnic Studies. She completed her BA in English and received an MA in Digital Humanities from University College London. Before starting her PhD she worked for the Future of StoryTelling, a creative production company centered on storytelling in the digital age. Her research focuses on the material labor and production of technology through speculative fiction, thinking about the Internet's relationship to women of color feminism, histories of militarism, and the gendered division of labor.
