Collaborative Projects encompass a variety of formats and scales, including:

Those applying for funding in the following categories are strongly encouraged to consult with the director at least one month in advance of submission: Collaboration Studio Grants, Large-scale collaborations, Conferences, Public Scholarship, and Other projects. Call 206.543.3920 or email to schedule an appointment. For project proposals that do not conform to these categories, but fulfill the Simpson Center missions of collaborative, cross-disciplinary, and/or engaged humanistic scholarship, please contact the Center to consult with the director.

Population Health Initiative Partnership

The Simpson Center is a partner of the UW Population Health Initiative. Collaborative projects connecting the humanities and population health are eligible for additional funding through the initiative. To apply for these additional funds ($15,000 total for all projects from the Simpson Center), please state your interest clearly in your proposal. Proposals in the following categories may apply for Population Health Initiative funding:
