CHCI-OCIS Visiting Fellowship Program
The Consortium of Humanities Centers & Institutes (CHCI) and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) are pleased to announce a new Visiting Fellows program for scholars affiliated with CHCI member organizations (the Simpson Center is a member of CHCI and may nominate one scholar from the UW). The purpose of the CHCI-OCIS Visiting Fellowship program is to support research in any area of the arts, humanities, or the social sciences that has relevance to the study of Islam or the Muslim world (particularly anthropology, economics, geography, history, international relations, law, literature, philosophy, politics, religion, and sociology). The non-stipendiary fellowship offers shared office accommodation, library facilities, and membership in the Senior Common Room. Please contact Simpson Center Director Kathleen Woodward by Feb. 21 if you're interested in applying. One Fellow will be recommended to OCIS each year by a CHCI Board committee. Applications are due Mar. 1. Click here for more details.
